I am an ambitious individual that is interested in many facets of life; any and all topics are subject to exploration and examination.  I am an engineer by trade and a philosopher and thinker by choice. My primary interests lie in the areas of science, technology, philosophy, the environment, and engineering.

My life right now primarily resides around my family and my career.  I have a loving wife and two great kids that never stop inspiring me. I am currently employed as a water resources engineer.  This choice of career has allowed me to work on some pretty interesting projects that have spanned a vast range of subjects and fields of study. Here is a brief list of the subjects and projects that I have explored:

Database Management (SQL), GIS Technologies (ArcGIS, MapGuide), Computer Modeling and Design (CAD), Business Administration, Programming, Construction Methodologies, Hydrology & Hydraulics, Drainage System Design, Stream Restoration, Meteorology, Environmental Issues, Sustainability, Power Plant Design, and Emergency Management.

More recently I have taken a strong interest in what the Internet has offer. There is a wealth of knowledge to be shared and learned on the Internet. If you have the entrepreneurial spirit, the Internet is a great place to add to your disposable income. This is initially one of the reasons why I joined Hubpages. I also run a successful Cafepress Shop and occassionally sell handmade merchandise locally and on eBay & Craigslist.
